Collusion: Does It Happen?

Collusion: Does It Happen?
I have to be honest here, YES it does. I have seen it happen many times, you have to be sharp to see it, but it goes on and will continue to do so.
Whether it's people talking on an instant messenger, telling each other what hands they have, or by some other means it will happen to you at some point.
My view on this is report them as soon as possible.
How to avoid it, well there is no easy way to do this, but if you are a ring game player, look and see where all the players are from, if you have two from the same area that both sit at the table the same time, it's in your intrest to leave as soon as possible.
In single table tournaments ( sit n goes ) look for the same thing, try not to be the last to sit at a table, spend a little time watching the game before you sit down.
Make a note of the speed of play, and those that raise and then fold. There is a lot of things to look for, treat it as a home game.
A cheater in poker is a cheater in life, they are seldom thanked for there perception of the game.
Kick them into touch as soon as you think you have spotted them, but before you do call someone a cheat, make sure you are right. Never reveal your suspicions at the table, always contact the pit boss, let them watch the game.
